Help! How Do I Convince My Wife I Need a New Lens?

I need to buy a new Canon 100-400mm Lens with image stabilization. It will be such a great addition to my camera bag. I will be able to expand my photographic skills and options with this new lens beyond even my wildest dreams. I have seen the evidence online. But I need to be able to convince my wife that this is a good thing to do. She thinks I am “fine just the way you are.” Are you feelin’ my pain?
