5 Stars The perfect day kit bag
I have been using Lowepro bags for a long time and I’m always amazed at the simplicity of the design. This bag is perfect as my daily grab-and-go bag for my Pentax K-7 kit. It’s weather-proof, just like my Pentax gear so I don’t have to worry about the occasional rain or snow shower. I keep my SLR with a prime lens in one side (actually laying on the side with the grip facing up for quick access) and have room on the other side for another lens and some filters. The strap is well made and is easy to adjust. The zippers are well made and zip easily open and closed. The bag has an overall well-made fit and finish and is a joy to use. The top handle is padded and very comfortable to hold for short periods or while moving the bag around. Like most other top-flap designed bags, the handle on the top isn’t very useful unless the bag is zippered and clasped closed. A short handle strap instead of a handle would have been a better choice for me, but I’m really nitpicking here.

The memory card pockets and zippered pocket on the inside face of the top cover are perfectly placed. There are a couple of elastic pockets on the outside of each end of the bag along with a zippered pocket on the back (probably only large enough for pamphlets or a map) as well as a compact zippered pocket on the front where I keep some smaller filters. If you have a compact DSLR and are looking for a compact bag to go along with it, I would highly recommend this bag. I can sling it over my shoulder and take it with me wherever I go and it hardly weighs anything. Highly recommended!

5 Stars Just what I needed
Couldn’t be happier with this bag. The photo in the Amazon add makes it appear green, but it’s really a very nice brown. anyway, it’s good quality, holds everything I need (I’m a video producer for the Air Force, but not a photographer, so I’m limited on what I need for my home photo needs). So this holds my K2000, extra lens, flash unit and all the little things I need for it — SDHD cards, spare batteries, etc. This bag won’t hold much more than that, but it holds this much very well. Haven’t used the weather-protection cover yet. My son recently purchased a Canon camera as well, and I recommended going with a Lowepro bag.

5 Stars Perfect for Canon Rebel XS with 3 lenses
I use my bag told hold my Rebel XS as well as all my lenses and have no complaints so far. The lenses I keep in the bag are the Canon 55-250mm IS with hood reversed, the Canon 50mm f1.8, and the Canon 18-55mm IS. I can store all of them without feeling like I am cramming too much in, and can store the camera with any of the lenses attached to it. I had looked at the Nova 140, but it did not have enough space to hold the camera with the 55-250 attached, so it was out. This bag also has lots of pockets for all the goodies you need to carry, including USB cable, cards, filters, etc. This would not work for a full frame camera, but for a consumer SLR such as the Rebel XS, this fits the bill quite nicely.

5 Stars High Quality…Perfect!
I was trying to find the perfect camera bag for my new Olympus SP565uz and stumbled upon this product…am I ever glad I did! It’s light-weight, just big enough without looking like I’m pretending to be a professional photog, and until I become adept enough with my new camera to buy an add’l lense, the extra section can hold a bag of snacks! Velco strips enable you to block off just the right inside space to house your camera.

It has many pockets, so I can stash my credit card holder, passport and even my tiny-print camera manual. Pockets just for my extra X-D Picture cards, extra batteries, etc. On both sides, on the outside, are mesh pockets perfect for a couple small water bottles.

The feature that really sold me was the fold-over top, so there’s no chance rain can creap in through the zipper…it even has its own “raincoat” stashed in the front pocket. Kudos to whoever designed this!!

5 Stars Well built and roomy camera bag
Got this bag for a Canon SX10 IS. It easily holds the camera, spare batteries and charger, adapters, filters, SD cards, AV and usb cables, etc. It has a rain fly that pulls out of the bag to cover the bag when its raining. Actually it’s a little large for the SX10 IS. I would rather have a little extra space than not enough. Very happy with the Nova 160.

5 Stars Perfect camera bag
This camera bag is exactly how it is described. I bought it to protect my camera and hold some accessories and it does just that. I like the extra pockets and pouches it has as well. The size is just right for my needs. Some reviews said it was too small and I can see that if you want to put extra lenses in it that might be the case.

4 Stars A bit small, but very well-built
It’s tough to judge how big the interior dimensions of a bag are based on pictures. I bought this thinking it was a little bit bigger than it turned out to be. However, the bag is incredibly well-made. All the zippers and clips are sturdy, and open/close nicely. It won’t quite hold all of my gear, but it is enough to hold a DSLR (w/ attached lens) along with 2-3 other lenses, some cleaning gear, and other assorted things (extra batteries, small notebook, etc). The walls of the bag are sturdy yet light in weight, and it’s well-padded in case of an accidental drop. The moveable interior walls are easy to reposition for the best possible fit, and overall I’m happy with the bag. I just wish it was a smidgen bigger.

So, to sum it up…

PROS:

+ Sturdy build

+ Good zippers/clips

+ Affordable

+ Plenty of little compartments and organizable space

CONS:

- A bit small if you have a lot of gear

5 Stars Good for the Money
When I was a kid, I paid the insane amount of $79.00 for a Tamrac nylon camera bag back when it was in vogue to buy the Domke Pro style canvas bags. That Tamrac bag lasted me twenty-five years. The foam in the Tamrac eventually started to disintegrate. Oh well.

I just got this Nikon bag, and I can tell right off the back, that I’ll probably be using this bag until I retire. It looks like the same quality, but of course only time will tell. If all you carry is a body or two, a flash and a couple of lenses, this bag will fit them all nicely, and snugly.

WARNING: This bag is NOT for those that use long (300s, 500s, and 70-300s) lenses.

5 Stars D40 camera case
I purchased this camera case for my Nikon D40. I have a kit lens, a 55-200 VR lens and a few other accessories and everything fits nicely in this case, including battery charger and cables. I’m not a huge photo bug but this case allows me to have very easy and convenient access to all my equipment, which encourages my use of it. This set-up is perfect for me; I doubt that I will ever need more equipment than I now have, but I could probably add another lens to the case if needed. It’s well made with a comfortable handle and strap. I am very satisfied. Anyone with similar equipment can’t go wrong with this case.

4 Stars It works.
I tried four different bags before getting this one. I really wanted the smallest bag possible, but I needed it to hold the camera with lens and a spare lens in a fair amount of safety. I could probably put a third lens in this case, but that’s about it. It’s well made, well padded, and has places for filters, additional memory cards, and a place for the battery charger.

I wish it was smaller, but baring some n-dimension folding I think that this is as small as it gets for what it needs to hold in realive safety.

4 Stars Awkward but Competent
Kata E-702 Large Digital SLR Camera Raincover

First time out with the raincover. It is a bit awkward and took some experimenting to adjust the cover over the lens. Huge downpour while shooting lions, tigers and bears. The camera remained dry. Some difficulty with access to the camera’s controls and using the view finder. At this price point the cover is a best buy. Camera used: Nikon D60 with 18-55 and 55-200 lens.

2 Stars good idea in time they will probably work out the bugs
I really had high hopes for this rain cover. First off it is well made with quality materials. The biggest problem I had was using it on a canon zoom lens(24-105L) the lens extends when zoomed and the only way I could fit this was to clamp the nylon skirt to the lens barrel and then attach the Velcro shield to the hood. Doing this leaves the bottom of the lens between the lens barrel and the front element exposed (the part that moves in and out of the barrel ……definitely an area you don’t want water to get onto) you can pull the nylon skirt over the lens hood then clamp the Velcro guard over the nylon skirt and the hood but since the Velcro guard is fastened directly to the plastic, zooming becomes a real pain as the plastic is pulled back and forth. If they had attached the Velcro guard to the nylon skirt I think it would have worked for me and I probably would have given it 5 stars. Or if you have a lens that doesn’t extend or rotate I would give it 5 stars. But for a lens that extends, sadly I really cant recommend this, but from what I’ve seen out there for under $200.00 this is probably as good as, if not better than most. They make an add on skirt for longer lenses but I have heard complaints that it is really big. I will probably end up selling this and just getting a couple of the cheepies or do the garbage bag thing just for emergencies. Kata seems to be a really innovative company and I’m guessing not to far down the road they will make improvements.

3 Stars Not well designed
The quality is pretty good, but it’s kind of a pain to fit over over my camera and lens. It’s too small to use with my Canon 200mm f/2. It has the length, but is too narrow to fit the diameter of the lens. They should have made the lens end larger. It would not only fit more lenses, it would make it easier to put the cover on all lenses. And it wouldn’t add much to the weight, bulk, or expense of the cover.

It’s also rather bulky, because it’s so stiff.

I find myself using plastic bags more than this. They are easier to carry, since they fold up small, and fit more lenses.

UPDATE: I recently bought the Camera Rain Cover For Canon Models with lens combinations up to 13″ long: XT XTi XSi 5D 10D 20D 30D 40D 300D 350D 400D 450D EOS 1Ds 1D 1V K2 T2 Ti XS Rebel, and find it much more useful than the Kata raincover. Easier to pack, and it fits my Canon 200mm f/2.0. And it’s cheaper, too.

5 Stars Great Camera Bag – Tough As Nails!
I’ve had numerous camera bags and hard cases over the years, but never a Backpack style bag. This one looked good with all of its adjustable compartments, pockets plus the backpack features. So, I got one and I’m glad I did. This bag is in daily use, getting pulled in and out of the car, carried around, unzipped and zipped, on average six days/week, often everyday – I don’t go anywhere without my cameras. I usually just carry it by grabbing the left side shoulder strap and slinging it on. After a lot of regular use, nothing is getting loose, ripped or pulled apart. I’m amazed because I’m not easy on it. I keep waiting to see a rip somewhere, expecially on that left shoulder strap, but it hasn’t happened. Also, the zippers have proven very durable with no sign of wear or potential for separation. For anyone looking for a backpack style bag, this is it – Plus, it has CANON on it and if you’re a Canon Camera “fiend”, like I am, you just have to have a bag that proudly says CANON!!

4 Stars Prettu much as advertised
Backpack is pretty well designed and wears nicely. Only problem I have with it is the area in which we carry the Canon Mark II and Canon 28-300 IS Lens. The camera area could be a little deeper and better padded. Plenty of room for extra lenses, filters converters, etc. Overall, worth the money.

This backpack is so cool. It holds everything in special compartments that you can change the size of. I really like this option. I can fit my cameras,lens, battery chargers, batteries, etc. all in different compartments for easy access. Extra zipper pouches make great storage too! I would definitely recommend this backpack/camera case to a friend.

3 Stars Great but oversized carryall…
**Brand new needing to re-sell** I bought this as a gift for my mother because she is acquiring a lot of camera equipment and currently has a bag that can’t hold everything. I thought this would be perfect. It would hold everything in it’s place and she could wear it instead of carry it. It turns out the bag was huge! It definintely could hold everything, but didn’t leave much in the way of style. She hasn’t used it and I will probably try to re-sell it since the 30 day return period is up. My mom is a small woman who is still in the beginning stages of photography, so it would be great for someone who wouldn’t mind it’s bulkiness or a more experienced photographer that would appreciate all it’s uses more often. I guess I was thinking that it would be somewhere between a camera bag and backpack in size. I cannot comment on comfort, sturdiness or design because my mom hasn’t used it. It was just the wrong thing to buy for her…but it might be the right thing for you.

The real test of this product is how well it will stand up over time with normal use. I’ve owned it for several weeks so it is too early to tell. Judging from the stitching, zippers and materials, it looks like it may stay together for a long time. It holds my Rebel SLR, Canon 70-200 telephoto, 55-250, 18-55, 50 prime, flash unit, charger, batteries, cables, cleaning kit and many other small items and still there is room for another SLR body or additional lens. Lots of zippered pockets. I am pleased with this purchase.

3 Stars You get what you pay for.
This bag is made of fair quality material. It fits my Nikon D40 and my small video camera, but it is a tight fit. There is not room to carry anything more in this bag. The small side pockets are nice for holding an extra video tape or battery. The removable strap is ok, but I use the shoulder strap from another bag, as it is more comfortable and of better quality.

I have just received my second bag. When I received my first bag and used it for 3 days, it began to fall apart so they agreed to send me a new one, free of charge. I am hoping that this one is better than the first.

this camera bag arrived with one of the zippers broken. won’t work at all. also not very well stitched together. many seams were crooked or falling apart. buy something else!

I have a Nikon D90 and this bag fits my D90 PERFECTLY! It can also hold small misc things in the various zippers all over the bag (i.e. memory cards, flash drives, cleaning kits, tabletop tripod [included but too small to hold up the D90], and other various small items. All I have right now is my camera and small accessories, but if you have a dslr camera AND a flash then your going to need a bigger bag. But its the perfect size for just the camera! I love it!!
